After Yemeni's President Hadi asks for help, a Saudi Arabian-led coalition of nine SWANA countries commit to Yemen via airstrikes and ground invasions. This intervention is backed by the US and other European allies, providing refueling, weapons, and air support as well as advice and training related to Saudi-led airstrikes

The intervention, which continues today, is criticized over the years due to the deaths of thousands of noncombatants, the destruction of civilian infrastructure, and the intensifying Yemen humanitarian crisis.
