Description:
This is the allied bombing of Germany which
in 1942 Britain realised the Germans are in a battle of attrition with the Soviet union —> decide to have a campaign of sustained constant bombings
- the aim of these strategic bombing campaigns was to disrupt war production, hurt civilian morale and force Germany to redirect resources to the home front, in 1942, ‘dehousing’ was introduced as a separate aim
- helping battle is not one of the reasons this bombing was done
