Description:
On 24th April 1934 —> people’s courts were established anyone accused on treason was to be tried by Nazi judges- they judge political crimes treason/defeatism
- no proper legal process: innocent until proven guilty is not used, courts operated in secret, judges picked by Nazi’s, defendant doesn’t have access to a lawyer
- 1934-39 —> 500 death sentences passed / 1930-32 —> 8 sentenced to death
