Description:

This marked the collages of the division between east and west germany. It occured from the loosening of soviet control over eastern europe, as well as pro democracy protests in east germany. It meant the end of communist rule in the region, and it started the german reunification process as well. It also symbolized the beginning of the end of the cold war, as the soviet union would collapse two years later.
