The Suez Crisis was a military conflict that occurred in the middle east. It happened when the Egyptian president nationalized the Suez Canal. This threatened trade and disrupted the balance of power. Britain and France were enraged. Therefore, Israel, Britain, and France all launched a military invasion of egypt to seize control of the canal. However, it ended in political defeat, as pressure from the US and USSR make them cease hostilities and withdraw.
