Description:

The Berlin wall was built by the Soviets to separate the east and west sectors of Berlin, and differentiate between the communist control and the rest. It was created because of mass migration of East Germans to the west, because conditions were very bad. It represented the cold war and the division between the east and west, as well as the heightening tensions between Russian and the US.
