Johnny Depp Pirates Of The Caribbean Return Petition Crosses 500K Signatures

The petition demanding Johnny Depp be brought back as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates Of The Caribbean movies has now crossed 500K signatures on Change.org.

This petition was made after it was revealed that Johnny Depp had lost the role he worked so hard to make his own.

It’s no secret that without Depp’s incredible performance as Captain Jack Sparrow those Pirates movies would have been nothing.

They ended up being some of the most successful Disney films ever made, and a large chunk of the credit goes to Depp and his take on the now-iconic pirate.

However, Disney opted to let him go after the actor’s whole debacle with his ex-wife Amber Heard and then their very public legal battle.

Yet, the truth of what really went on between Depp and Heard when they were married is starting to come out, and people feel it’s now the time to bring Depp back into the Pirates franchise.

This petition garnered even more attention when it was revealed that Margot Robbie was working on an ‘all-female reboot of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

This news wasn’t greeted with huge excitement because it was reported that Depp would not be in the movie.

This ‘all-female take on the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is being written by Birds of Prey scribe, Christina Hodgson.

Margot Robbie revealed in an interview that the movie would feature a lot of “girl power”, which is fine, but people are still confused as to why this film can’t also feature Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow.

He is the character who made these movies, and it seems as though not having him in the movie would be a huge mistake.
