dec 1, 1936 - Remilitarization of the Rhineland
Description:
Hitler sent troops to the Rhineland. This was directly against the treaty of Versailles, which stated that the Rhineland needed to stay demilitarized. Hitler did this as he wanted to see how other countries, such as france and britain, would react, as well as gain support within germany. However, France and Britain did nothing boosting the confidence of hitler and the nazis.
