Amber Heard claimed in a court document that she had been fired from Aquaman 2 - this is a page from a longer document tba. Dawn Hughes took the claim at face value whilst Katherine Arnold embellished the concept into her option for employment not being taken up.

Either way the upshot would be that Amber Heard was not able to negotiate for a higher fee and also had reduced screen time in the final film.

The above was suspected but not confirmed in 2021 as borne out by the speculation in the Media Coverage.
