Description:

Following a letter between Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad (a position which answers to Iran's Supreme Leader) and US President Bush claiming that its uranium enrichment programs are solely for civilian energy production rather than nuclear weapons, the US passes the Iran Freedom Support Act which would help fund Iranian civil society and help to promote democracy.
