Description:
A series of secret negotiations take place in Norway resulting in the signature of the Oslo Accords by both Israel and the PLO, agreeing to the creation of the Palestinian Authority to help administer limited self-governance in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as well as Israel's withdrawal of troops from the area. The PLO and Israel both also agree to recognize one another. However, a definite Palestinian state was still not created.Added to timeline:
