Crew: Frank Borman, William Anders, James Lovell Jr.,Apollo 8 was only to put the pieces of the crew and the CSM while in the moon's orbit. Apollo 8 was also used to demonstrate the new technology of CSM. This is also when the “Earthside” photo was taken.
