Description:
Archduke Franz Ferdinand, heir to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, was assasinated in Sarajevo, Bosnia.
He and his wife, Sophie, were shot by a Serbian nationalist Gavrilo Princip, while they were visiting the city.
This assassination triggered events that led to start of World War I.
The assassination increased tensions between Austria-Hungary and Serbia, eventually leading to the outbreak of war.
And just like that, the war began.... Take me out, Franz Ferdinand
