This battle was the 2nd battle because when the Germans were pushing the French and British, they fought in that area. In the 2nd battle, the first use of gas grenades were used. They were used by the Germans and gave a lot of panic to the British and French ending up with a lot of casualties, but in some places the wind blew the gas back towards the Germans.
