Description:

At this point in the war the confederate capital was captured and Lee and his troops were driven back. They eventually held up in a court house in Appomattox Virginia. Lee eventually surrendered to General grant and triggered multiple other surrenders over the country. This is considered to effectively be the end of the civil war.
