This acquittal upset many people and caused many people to go to social media. It gained national attention with the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter on social media. This movement has been growing since its birth and will continue to grow. The movement focuses on community involvement, being an advocate, and raising awareness. The vision of the movement is to highlight black people in a positive light where they experience happiness. The movement's main focus point is on issues including police brutality, racial profiling, and racism.
