jul 13, 1759 - The siege at Fort Quebec
July 13th the siege begins. British start firing at Fort Quebec with cannon balls slowly destroying the fort. In 85 days twenty thousand cannon balls hit the fort, leaving Fort Quebec 80% destroyed. Most civilians fled the city going north, the only people left were French soldiers and militia that were determined to maintain hold of the fort.
This is a great victory! We have conquered Fort Quebec with ease.
Fort Quebec has fallen to the British. How unfortunate.
