dec 30, 1922 - Russia changes their name to U.S.S.R
Description:
Following the Bolshevik Revolution in 1917 a new soviet government established the “Union of Soviet Socialist Republics” in 1922. The point of the name change was to represent a new era of time shifting from a monarchy to communist rule. It also united Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Transcaucasia and recognized them as a republic together and not separate countries.
