aug 1, 1914 - Germany declares war on Russia

Description:

During this time Austria-Hungary and Serbia were having disagreements and when Austria-Hungary decided to declare war with Serbia, their alliance Russia decided to step in and start preparing for war. Austria-Hungary’s ally Germany saw Russia preparing and told them to stop. When Russia refused to stop preparations, Germany declared war on them, starting the world war.
