The Soviet government decreed compulsory military training for workers and peasants who didn’t do labour, which led to the Red Army starting. Vladimir Lenin and Leon Trotsky were in charge of the Red Army, they were both brilliant leaders. The Red Army was then abandoned in 1946.Added to timeline:
