Description:
The Italian Revolutions in 1848 were apart of a larger effort by intellectuals and agitators who wanted a liberal government. Nationalism was very influential, and they wished to get rid of Austrian control within Italy. Italy was not yet unified. Therefore, a series of revolutions was staged to drive the austrians out, which was led by the Kingdom of Sardinia.
