Mera (Amber Heard) removed from new Aquaman cover & WB distancing

By Dianne Anders

Amber Heard, as Mera, has been removed from the reprints of the Aquaman cover and Warner Bros seem to be distancing themselves from the actress.

Amber Heard has been relentlessly trying to drag Johnny Depp’s name through the mud, and her little game has caused collateral damage to Warner Brothers Studios. They now seem to be distancing themselves from the actress.

The legal battle between Heard & Depp has lasted about 5 years, or at least it will once Warner Bros start filming the third instalment of Fantastic Beasts.

Fantastic Beasts 3 was originally supposed to be released in the fall of 2020, but it was postponed until November 12, 2021. And although Warner Bros commenced filming in March, it was — yet again — delayed due to the bug.

Warner Brothers recently announced that they plan to continue filming in November. The filming will last until mid-February, 2021. However, Amber Heard has tried to delay the production even more refusing to delay the hearing which was initially supposed to happen during the filming of Fantastic Beasts 3.

Heard’s attorney, Elaine Charlson Bredehoft, and Depp’s attorney, Benjamin G. Chew, met the head of legal at Warner Bros in a video conference to discussing scheduling conflicts in the upcoming trial.

Wayne M. Smith, the Senior Vice President of Corporate Legal at Warner Brothers, didn’t seem to bothered when it came to Amber Heard’s alleged reprisal in Aquaman 2, but insisted that Depp was required for Fantastic Beasts 3.

“Thank you both for taking the time to discuss with me the scheduling of various matters in your respective clients’ lawsuit,” Smith responded.

“As we have discussed, Fantastic Beasts 3 began production in the United Kingdom this month, and we require Mr. Depp to be in the United Kingdom from September 17th through to the anticipated end of production in mid-February, 2021.

“As to Aquaman 2, that film will not start production any earlier than May 31st, 2021,” the letter concluded.

Warner Brothers responded to Heard’s attorney stating that Johnny Depp, absolutely, will not be available to appear in court during this time as he required to be in London, UK, for filming during this time.

But when it came to addressing the Amber Heard’s upcoming role as Mera in Aquaman 2, Smith did not mention Heard’s relation to the film and instead refereed to it as “that film” which lead many to believe that Amber Heard has, in fact, been fired.

Curious fans noticed that Mera (Amber Heard) had also been removed from the cover of all Aquaman DVDs and Blu-ray discs.
