This document was created by Daniel Ellsberg, an American political activist and United States military analyst, who is later charged in 1973 under the Espionage Act. His charges are eventually dismissed due to government misconduct and illegal evidence-gathering.At this point, American distrust in its government is drastically increased creating a ripple that continues today.
