Francis Cebert Hogan along with the rest of America is scared of an Atomic Bomb being dropped on America. From The Soviet Union occupied Cuba. Many Americans spent lots of money on bomb shelters and supplies. The threat lasted 12 days and ended with both America and the Soviet Union withdrawing their missiles.
