Description:
The Plague arrived in October 1347, this occured when 12 ships from the black sea docked at the sicilian port of Messina. Most sailors aboard the ship were seen dead this was shocking to the people. Although some were still alive they were in serious condition with black boils on their skin that oozed blood with pus. Over the next five years the black death would cause 20 million people in Europe to be killed, almost one third of their population at the time.
