Written by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen, the dolls house is still being publish in 2025. The play is about the fate of a married woman in Norway who has a restricted lifestyle due to living in a male supreme world. I have chosen this play as it highlights the struggles of women at the time. I feel as if it was so brave due to the fact that it was such a lightly touched upon topic at the time. Infact, the play went on to spark debate outside the world of theatre, creating a wave of intense controversy which was exactly what Ibsen wanted.
