Description:
On September 28, 1781, American troops began a siege on Yorktown, Virginia, which was the current headquarters of the British army. While Americans were attacking from the landlocked side of the town, French Navy ships were attacking the harbor, eventually causing the British to surrender after a 3 week assault. This was the Battle that ended the Revolutionary War.
