Description:
The new technological innovations led to the new jobs starting to appear such as managers, clerks and etc, these new jobs led to the creation of the middle class. The middle class people contained of the people who were mostly educated and skilled laborers. During the Gilded age, there were some reform movements such as the socialist party which wanted the government to take over the industries. Also, the most notable part is that women at this time had significant roles. They were hired by factories, and in the state of wayoming, they could vote, however not the electoral and the senate, yet, wayoming was the only state at the time which allowed women to vote. There was women's Christian temperance union which tried to ban the bars in almost 21 states. Jane Adam's was one of the most important women at this time which basically provided whatever things that political machines did, but she did it for the kindness of her heart which she didn't have any mean for it. Journalists also began to expose political corruption.
