Description:
This event refers to Athen’s invasion of Melos in which Athens demanded the Melians surrender and pay tribute to the Athenians or they will be killed. The Melians refused this, and Athens proceeded to lay siege to the city. After a long battle, the Melians surrendered in Winter and the Athenians killed the men and enslaved the women and children.
