Bill Volt, the colony manager at the facility, notices that a lot of monkeys are sickly looking and dying. He contacts veterinarian Dan Dalgard to check in on the monkeys.
Dan Dalgard arrives at the facility four days after Bill Volt requested him. Dalgard goes room to room checking on all of the monkeys, he notices two that are very sick and seem to have droopy eyelids as well as a fever (both were in Room F). He also sees quite a few sickly looking monkeys. Many started to die at an alarming rate. He dissects the two dead monkeys and notices an enlarged spleen and blood within the intestines in both monkeys. However Dalgard is unable to determine what caused the death and tags it as SHF (simian hemorrhagic fever).
