On November 29th, the Army conducted its autopsies of some of the monkeys from the Reston monkey house. The Army found similar findings to those of the monkey house's autopsies, evidence that supported neither Ebola nor SHF as the cause of the illness. Confusion remained as the virus physically resembled a filovirus but had been behaving like SHF.At the same time, the CDC was notified of the ongoing incident. After a meeting between the Army and CDC Ebola experts, it was decided that the CDC would manage any human-health aspects of the outbreak and the Army would handle the monkey house.
