2023.04.15 - Hundred Finance

On April 15, 2023, our platform detected two suspicious transactions on Optimism involving Hundred Finance, and Hypernative notified the team. Hypernative alerted in real-time on an unusual contract deployment at 13:15:58 UTC, and the attack itself began ~56 minutes after the initial tooling. The attacker manipulated the exchange rate between hWBTC and WBTC using a flashloan, and took advantage of a rounding error, resulting in the exploitation of $7.4 M. Most of the stolen funds were bridged to Ethereum, and then swapped or deposited into Curve.
