Horizon Bridge 2022.06.23

Horizon Bridge, a cross-chain bridge operated by Harmony that enables token transfers from one blockchain to another, suffered an exploit worth nearly $100 million in ETH. The Harmony team has found evidence that private keys were compromised, allowing the attacker to control the 2 to 5 multisig wallet contract, and thus carry out twelve attack transactions. The stolen assets were swapped to ETH and, using several addresses, the attacker cashed out most of them through Tornado Cash.
