Hollywood Tower Hotel in Los Angeles, California
is hit by an abnormally powerful lightning strike
which invokes heavy damage upon the hotel,

investigation over the course of a week.At some point during the 1930s. The

flagship of Canada-Pacific's "Gemstone Star" line
vanishes during one of its Trans-Pacific crossings.
Days after the Emerald Star's vanishing, a man
named Jack Forrester is found in one of the ships
lifeboats. He claims that he woke up on the ship
to find it abandoned before he escaped in a lifeboat and
as far as he was aware. It didn't sink but was adrift somewhere.
The Emerald Star was never found.Events of "Amulet" begin in
the fall of 2008 after Emily, Navin
and Karen Hayes move to the town of

tech industry.In the PVPU, Turkey joins the Axis Powers in
1941. It commits to the Axis Cause by invading
the southern USSR as well as Syria and Greece.When emergency crews investigate the damage the next
day. They find that when the still functioning elevators reach
the destroyed floors. They open into what
seems to be a another dimension. The ICC Foundation
assumes control of the Hotel and it becomes a
protected and secure site.At some point between 1910 and
1911. Annabelle Comstock, the wife of
Zachariah Hale Comstock and First Lady
of the USA is killed by her husband when
she threatens to expose his infedelity.
Annabelle's death is blamed on a black maid
named Daisy Fitzroy who is arrested and
convicted in a rigged trial, she escapes
before her death sentence is carried out
however.The Human genome experiences a spontaneous
mass mutation. Every human being born in and after
1355 is born intersex. This causes a great deal of social
upheaval around the world, especially in Europe.
The Catholic ChurchThe Protestant Reformation begins in 1517.
In the PVPU, Martin Luther creates 96 Theses
instead of 95. His 96th Theses is the promotion
of a philosophy he calls "Fear Not Thy Flesh" which
is the belief that viewing human biology or anatomy
with disgust and contempt and censoring it is
blasphemous as the human body was made in the
image of God and thus to consider the human body
taboo is to offend god. "Fear not thy flesh" because a
major component of several protestant faiths in the PVM.Agatha Prenderghast, a 10 year old girl
living in the village of Blithe, Hollow in the
then colony of Massachusetts is accused of
witchcraft by the village court and sentenced to
death.
Shortly before her execution is carried out, Agatha
curses the entire population of Blithe Hollow
with restlessness. Once they all die, they will be forcefully

American Victory. The USA is able to annex all
territory south of the St.Lawrence River.In the PVPU, Germany suffers only minimal
territorial losses after WWI with much of the
punishment being economic rather than territorial
in nature.The Prussian Democratic Republic, an alternate
version of East Germany is formed. The region
of Prussia remains intact between 1919 and onward.
The PDR's capital is Koningsberg while West Germany's
capital is Dusseldorf. Berlin is still divided between both
countries but it is the capitol of neither.Spanish Civil War ends on
April 1st, 1939. In the PVPU
