31 ene 1930 año - At some point during the 1930s. The "Emerald Star", a luxury ocean liner and the flagship of Canada-Pacific's "Gemstone Star" line vanishes during one of its Trans-Pacific crossings. Days after the Emerald Star's vanishing, a man named Jack Forrester is found in one of the ships lifeboats. He claims that he woke up on the ship to find it abandoned before he escaped in a lifeboat and as far as he was aware. It didn't sink but was adrift somewhere. The Emerald Star was never found.
