The Spanish Influenza was a very serious virus that killed 25 million people in its first 25 weeks. The flu killed 30,000-50,000 people in Canada. By the end of the summer 1918, the virus affected the soldiers who fought during the First World War. The 1918 flu pandemic ( January 1918 - December 1920) was an unusually deadly influenza pandemic, the first of the two pandemics involving H1N1 influenza virus. This virus even killed young people even though they were healthy. Spanish Influenza is the most devastating virus recorded in world history. " Spanish flu" the influenza of 1918-1919 was a global disaster.
