Zacharias Janssen: -He invented the telescope with the help of his father.
Robert Hooke- This man was the first man to identify a cell. He used the invention from Janssen and eventually made the term cell, by thinking of the room "cell." He found a cell by looking at a cork.
Anton van Leeuwenhoek -This man, made the egistance of single cell organisms.
Robert Brown: -This man, made/discovered the nucleus in a cell. Although his discovery was made in 1831, the actual name "nucleus" wasn't published until 1833.
Matthias Schleiden: -Matthias Schleiden and Theodor Shwann both contributed to the cell theory first. Matthias Schleiden realized that all plants are made of cells. He realized this from when he worked at his shop of plants.
Theodor Schwann: -Theodor Schwann was one day working with Schleidon on cells and once realized that "If plants are all made of cells, then animals must have cells." This lead to an argument that some cells don't actually come from other cells.
Rudolph Virchow: -After watching/working with Schleidon and Schwann, Virchow realized that since all living things are made from cells, they must be produced from other cells. In his words, "...all cells (come) from cells." This means that Virchow was the last person to contribute to the cell theory.
