The Dionne Quintuplets were named Yvonne, Annette, Cecile, Emilie and Marie. The mother is named Olivia Edouard and the father is named Elzire Dionne. The quintuplets were born in Callander, Ontario. Near the village of Corbeil, On May 28th, 1934. These Quintuplets were the first Quintuplets in Canada. The Quintuplets were born 2 months premature. The Quintuplets were taken away from their parents because the government wanted to ensure their survival. The Government thought the parents of the quintuplets were unfit. The parents later gained custody of their kids. This is important to Canada's history because the Dionne Quintuplets were the first quintuplets in Canada. At the time, people thought it was super rare to have quintuplets. In 1954 Emilie died during an epileptic seizure, and Marie died in 1979. The rest of the Quintuplets, are still alive till this day.
