1821, Greeks also revolted to try ending Ottoman control over them. The division in Greece didn’t help win the revolt and sympathy for them grew. Soon Britain, France, and even Russia(conservative) helped in gaining independence by urging Ottoman Empire to give it. In 1829 they gained independence but European powers urged to put a German king in charge, nationalist on the other hand still had hope as a country on their own.
