The World Health Organization (WHO) was working on eradicating in Nigeria. They than ran into having far too many people with not enough vaccine. To solve this they, divided up the area and sent people to those areas to see who had smallpox then, vaccination put a quarantine range around village. Smallpox disappeared within weeks.
