Abraham did not like the idea of slaves.So Abraham Lincon declared
that all slaves in states of rebellion to be freed on January 1, 1863.
Some slaves were not as lucky in the
states by the borders that remained in
the union or in the states of the
Confederate states.
Outcome: Only a few slaves were freed-immediate effect
because Confederate States did not act on Lincoln’s order
