During this time, the first Centralist Republic was formed. Many important changes occured during this period of time. After a few year that Mexico and USA have been in war, in 1846, the war ends, but Mexico is forced to sell part of its territory to the US. The states of nowadays California, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, and some of Colorado was sold to the US. The responsible for this were Anastasio Bustamante, A.L. de Santa Ana, among other important political figures at the time.
