Ben arrived back at the training camp and was met with honorable discharge papers that Ben accepted. Ben also received a medal of honor for his actions of saving Private Orno on the battlefield. Ben came home to his wife and now three year old child. Ben had crutches to help him walk with his wounded leg for the first nine months home until he got better and Ben ended up living a full, honorable life with his wife and children.
