The atomic model of Thomson is a theory on the atomic structure, proposed by him and who also discovered the electron in1897, few years before the proton and the neutron. The atom is composed of negatively charged electrons in a positive atom, joined together.Thomson's model adequately explained many of the observed facts of chemistry and cathode rays.
