1 Jan 1528 Jahr - The Courtier 1528
Beschreibung:
Baldassare Castiglione wrote The Courtier, which was a book that described the ideal Renaissance person. In the book, it separately depicts Renaissance men, and Renaissance women. According to the book: The Renaissance man would strive for greatness and would aim to learn almost everything that their is to know. The Renaissance man should be able to: dance, sing, play music, write poetry, be a skilled horseback rider, a wrestler, and a good swordsman. The Renaissance women were expected to be charming, but not so great as the men. Women were more so the target of art, rather than the creators. Women were more educated than that of a Medieval woman, but were less educated and had less power and influence than that of a man.
