Today we were set into our HBDI groups and told to draw something simple on a post-it note. The illustration was then passed around to all of the group members before making it back to the creator. The goal of this assignment was obviously to be creative but also to try to interpret what was going on in a situation where we knew noting, Some people would call this uncertainty ambiguity. I agree, it should be called that. Ambiguity is hard to address for people like myself because my whole life I have been taught to follow a strict outline in order to get all points possible. Of course once one masters a strategy then they are apprehensive to let go of it.
The next activity we did was creating a skit that incorporated aspects of Ambiguity, Curiosity, Failure, and Divergence. My group and I went through at least three ideas before we decided upon our skit topic. I found it interesting to see who contributed the most to our brainstorming conversation and then who performed the most in the skit itself.
