The leaders of the Quadruple Alliance (Russia, Prussia, Austria, and UK) came together with a representatives of the Bourbon monarch and some minor states in order to figure out where to go after Napoleon seemed to be on his last legs. They wanted to fashion a lasting peace. Most major leaders agreed that the best way to do this was to reach an equilibrium of political and military forces that would discourage aggression from any one state. They offered France relatively lenient terms, where they got some land back and did not have to pay reparations. However, they ensured that France was surrounded on all sides by strong countries, that would be able to prevent France from growing to strong. Additionally, after Napoleon's second defeat, they agreed to meet up now and then to chat, share gardening tips, and attempt to avoid worldwide chaos and destruction.Добавлено на ленту времени:
