This revolution ended the 30-year dictatorship of Porfirio Díaz Mori and established a constitutional republic. Diaz was working to modernize the country through capitalist reform in the cities, at the expense of peasants in the rural countryside. In order to strengthen the economy, Diaz incentivized foreign land investment and prevented small farmers from buying land. This caused a rural uprising and they ousted Diaz out of office and replaced him with President Madero. However, Madero was executed a week after coming to office and replaced by Dictator Huerta who was then overthrown by Carranza in 1914. Carranza created the Constitutional Army and the Mexican Constitution, finally ending the revolution.Добавлено на ленту времени:
