People became closer to the own feeling during this time and showed more love towards things and family, this was shown in the literature
Mary Shelley is the writer of the story of Frankenstein. She used imagination in the story which was something new.

Edgar Allan Poe was a master of suspense and inventor of detective fiction. He started as a literary critic and he had a good reputation even though he criticized. He was the first American self-employed author and the father of the detective story. He is known for making creepy horror stories which made people believe he was creepy and that something was wrong with him. During his lifetime he also secretly married his 13-year old cousin and when he died, as a 40-year old, it was under mysterious circumstances.
His most famous collection is Tales of the Grotesque and Arabesque. The Raven was his first book and is also very famous

1. Emma´s family included her father and her older sister, also a woman as governess that Emma liked much. Emma´s mother had died a long time ago.
2. Emma is a handsome, clever and rich girl. She was an upper-class person.
3. The relationship between Emma and Miss Taylor was good and they were close. Miss Taylor had been taking care of Emma since she was a little kid. They were friends but more like sisters.
4. She is left to herself and her father because Miss Taylor married and would live with them anymore.
5. Emma feels happy for her friend because the man she married seemed like a good man, but it feels empty and sad without her there. She had done so much for her, so she would be missed every hour of everyday.
