Began around the 9th Century and ended around the 15th century- Feudalism was an established system in which land owners would protect people in exchange for labor. With this system there were three estates: the nobility (land-owners), the clergy (priests), and the peasantry (labor). It was a repressive society as it restricted people from being able to progress into other estates. This repression eventually lead to revolutions which ended the Feudal system.
